Maybe love wasn't the defendant we thought it was.
Maybe somewhere along the way, we blamed love for things love never promised to do.
We asked love to carry wounds we wouldn't address.
Stories we wouldn't question.
Truth we wouldn't speak.
Scores we wouldn't erase.
Potential that never became reality.
And trust we tried to manufacture by controlling another person's freedom.
Then when the relationship collapsed under the weight...
we said:
“Love wasn't enough.”
Maybe that was never the whole truth.
Maybe we simply asked love...
to do everybody else's job.
Love invited two people into the same room.
Character decided whether they could remain there.

It's a letter.
A letter that doesn't ask someone to return.
Doesn't ask them to regret leaving.
